This version is for Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass, plus Piano continuo,
or piano and continuo (eg. a cello or bass) if you prefer.
It was taken from the Jeremiah Prout version of Handel's original.
It is suitable for performance by amateurs, but you will definitely require some proper sopranos, i.e. ones with high voices, otherwise it will sound screechy, and we don't want that do we?
This has been performed once to my knowledge, at the Ashford Congregation Church 'Carols by Candlelight' service in 2008. Copyright David W. Legg 2008.
